You were my cup of strong black coffee that leaves a bittersweet taste on my tongue.
You were a question without an answer. I put a comma where you put a period. You made your choice. I made mine.
Today, I called you to meet me at the coffee shop -- to go back where it all began. Why didn't you come? Why didn't you meet me at the end of the line?
I was staring out the window, watching the rain pour outside, imagining your silhouette, dreaming of that last cup of coffee that we could've shared and the love story we could have had if you had just come.
